Google Base launched!
Akshay Java, 12:46pm 16 November 2005The much awaited service from google Google Base is now launched! Go check it out… its quite cool. My first reaction was that it is yet another tagging tool – but it seems way cooler than that. It looks like it provides a simple way for you to create different item types and give attributes to each. It would be interesting to see if they are going to provide APIs so that we can make use of all the information available and import/export RDF metadata.

My view is that Google Base is going to change the way we publish information on the Web. It’s simple but has great potential. After playing with it for few minutes, the use of Google Base has a semantic web feels to it. Yahoo!, I like you, and you better play catch up fast.
