The Washington Post has a very long feature article on botnets and malware that is quite interesting. It focuses more on the people involved — perpetrators, victims, and prosecutors — than on the technology. The centerpiece of the article is the story of a botnet master, 0×80, who clims to make $80K a year working out of his bedroom in his parent’s house.
