In this week's Ebiquity Lab meeting Tejas Lagvankar will talk about "Mobile Computing and Semantic Web : Applications in Social Networking"

Description : Tejas is going to talk about the use of mobile computing and semantic web techniques in today's social networking scenarios. He will then talk of "survey" type of applications that can be built using these techniques. As an example, he will focus on field surveys in the bio-diversity domain and give a brief overview of the SPIRE project at UMBC. Then we take a look at context-awareness and will go through common approaches for context-aware systems. He will then provide an overview of such a system that he will be soon working on.
