A Brief Introduction to Machine Learning

Abstract: In this talk I will introduce the space of problems typically addressed by machine learning and look at the forms that solutions can take. My hope is that this will enable a discussion of problems that people in the ebiquity group are working on as case studies of when and how to apply machine learning methods.
