Ontological Semantics (OntoSem) is the theory of meaning in natural language text. It deals with extracting and representing meaning and is supported by a 'constructed world model' which is a rich Ontology and a Fact Repository. The project OntoSem2OWL is investigating the feasibility of developing a system to translate ontologies and data between OntoSem and OWL. The talk would be a basic overview of the OntoSem system and discuss some of the motivations and some application scenarios.
