Service Discovery in the Future for Mobile Commerce

This article focuses on the effect of mobile computing on electronic commerce and discusses the technology behind the change that is taking place. It explains different ways of discovering services in a dynamic environment. The increased use of Personal Digital Assistants like PalmPilots provides users with the capability of carrying out electronic transactions from a mobile platform. This has coined in a new term "Mobile Commerce". Electronic Commerce can be defined in general as an aggregation of all transactions on the Internet. When these types of applications and transaction processing facilities need to be accessed from a wireless device, a new domain of research area and challenging problems come into the picture.
