Ankur Padia was a PhD student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and received his Ph.D. in October 2019. His research interests are in language understanding, machine learning, information extraction, and knowledge representation. He has done research internships at GE Global Research, Xerox Research Center, Nuance and RedShred LLC. He is currently a director at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston, MA.
