Haym Hirsh Primary Role:Collaborator Company:National Science FoundationDepartment: Division of Information and Intelligent Systems E-mail: Biography: Haym Hirsh is Professor of Computer Science at Rutgers University, and is currently Director of the Division of Information and Intelligent Systems at the U.S. National Science Foundation's Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering. His research is on foundations and applications of machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval. Haym received his BS degree in 1983 from the Mathematics and Computer Science Departments at UCLA and his MS in 1985 and PhD in 1989 from the Computer Science Department at Stanford University. |
