Lin Gu is a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department at University of Virginia. His current research area is in wireless sensor networks, focusing on distributed sensing and classification, OS kernel services, and energy efficient hardware and architecture support. He is a key member of the UVa team that designed large-scale demonstration sensor networks sponsored by ARPA, including the recent VigilNet system. Before joining UVa, he received an M.S. degree from Peking University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Fudan University.
