Biography:
Souptik Datta worked as a research assistant at the DIADIC (DIstributed ADaptive DIscovery and Computation) research lab at the Department of Computer Science, University of Maryland, Baltimore County from 2002 to 2007. His research interests include peer-to-peer data mining, distributed data mining, text mining, graph mining and privacy preserving data mining. He has worked as a data mining research intern at IBM Research Laboratory, Delhi, India and IntelligenX Inc,Virginia, USA. Souptik received his MS in computer science from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2004 with a thesis on privacy preserving data mining. His MS work won the best research paper award at the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM) in 2003.
