In one hour, we will write a MapReduce Java program using Eclipse to create an inverted-index, test it on a local box, and run it on an already set up Hadoop cluster. If we have time, we will also see how to do the same using Python instead of Java.

for rapid wireless sensor network (WSN) reconfiguration.
Appropriate reconfiguration allows the WSN to save energy while
tracking a target. If the target moves slowly enough, the WSN can
successfully reconfigure itself during runtime.  However, a
fast-moving target forces the WSN to use more energy or risk
losing track of the target.

  <description><![CDATA[This presentation describes a new ONR-sponsored two-year research project
'Understanding RSM: Relief Social Media' that we are beginning in
conjunction with colleagues at the Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology
Laboratory.  The RSM project is aimed at helping to detect and monitor
information about crises and associated relief efforts from online
sources including both social media and main stream media.
