2WEAR and Pervasive Storage Management Title: 2WEAR and Pervasive Storage Management Speaker: Alexandros Karypidis Start Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2004, 11:00AM End Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2004, 12:00PM Location: ITE 325B Abstract: The 2WEAR platform is a versatile personal system comprising wearable and portable devices communicating via short-range radio. The system can be composed in an ad-hoc fashion, by bringing individual devices in proximity with each other. As a consequence it is possible for the user to build the desired system for a given task in a straightforward way, via physical movement and without issuing any explicit configuration commands. In this setting, a multitude of issues arise. This presentation will concentrate on the core system and principles of the 2WEAR platform and will also focus on aspects regarding the management of the storage available on the platform.
