Abstract: Rong Pan will give a preview of his disseration proposal.

Expected contribution of my Ph.D. reserach would be a theoretical framework and related inference methods to map semantically similar variables between separate Bayesian networks in a provably correct way. The framework can be used to support automatic mapping of concepts between ontologies with the help of probability extension of ontologies.
