McNamee receives best paper award

PhD student Paul McNamee received a best paper award at the 2005 SIGIR Doctoral Consortium for his paper

Advancing Corpus-Based Bilingual Retrieval, 28th Annual International ACM SIGIR Conferenc, Doctoral Consortium, Salvador, Brazil, 15 August 2005.
In addiiton to being a PhD student in the Computer Science program at UMBC, Paul is a Senior Computer Scientist in the Research and Technology Development Center of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
