Dr. Viggiano is a social scientist, futurist, and technologist. with the social impacts of using new technologies. Convergence between multiple technologies are especially interesting to him because of the increased potential for unintended effects. These unintended technological effects usually lead to novel trends and super trajectories. Much like a digital Swiss Army knife, the smartphone is a perfect example of multidimensional convergence across many different uses and applications. He is currently working on a multi-volume series about artificial intelligence converging with quantum computing and the probable social impacts that will accompany the arrival of this new technology.
